I’m learning the Transistor.fm (JC commission link) podcast process, so this is simply a practice session for review and educating myself on what to do and not to do. As today’s post title says, “Every Good Tree Bringeth Forth Good Fruit!” Amen!

Matthew 7:17 (KJV) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
For such a short verse, just 17 total words, there is a powerhouse of wisdom, understanding and knowledge for every one who is able to receive. My friend, I pray you are able to hear what the Spirit is saying in this Scripture verse. It will be good for your soul, and in more ways than you even now realize. Therefore, pray to the Holy Spirit for understanding in wisdom of God’s Holy Word.
Many times I see verses and know them well. Other times I see a verse that takes on a different meaning or maybe a different connection to what I am currently doing for the work of the Kingdom of God. Ministering is a peculiar activity…yes, I said “peculiar” because if you look up that word in the bible and in the dictionary you will see a whole host of depth of meaning. But, I’ll leave that to you and your own discovery process.
When you discover something then you own it
As you know, I believe that when you discover something then you own it and have equity in the appreciation of that what you discovered. However, when you borrow information or borrow…well anything…you are subject to the lender. The lender who owns the asset gains and profits from loaning you what he owns. You pay interest and you never own the asset.
To me this is sad, but a real reality in the world. So I earnestly beseech you my brother and sister, discover the Word of God and own it…collect interest, become wealthy in the ownership of God’s Holy Word! Read Matthew 6:20 and many of the other verses that talk about treasures in heaven.
In this world, we as Christians, are simply passing through onto a great calling, that of the calling of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ into eternal life with God! How beautiful are the feet that preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
Got carried away
My goodness, I sort of got carried away! I have so much in my heart to give…that is one of the many reasons why I like and enjoy writing on my blog at JCActs221Blog. Soon, I will be doing podcast shows to bring even more wisdom from God’s Word. (I’m speaking this as faith to receive a podcast hosting service (JC commission link) and the ability and skills to create podcast shows for God’s Kingdom and the preaching of the Gospel into all the world.)
Back into our verse
Let’s get back into our verse… Matthew 7:17 (KJV) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. …look at the words “good tree” and “good fruit”… do you see a connection? Good means Good! I know, that seems obvious and rather silly! But really, think about it… The word Good defines Good. Good is not Bad. And therefore, Good is Good. Good is a fruit of the Spirit named “Goodness” …yea look here… Galatians 5:22 (KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is… goodness… (This is just one of the nine fruits of the Spirit.)
Full of goodness
How about this verse… Galatians 5:22 (KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Look at this one… 2 Thessalonians 1:11 (KJV) Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
Can you see it here… Romans 15:14 (KJV) And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
There are 48 verses that relate to “goodness” and that is a good number! ha ha… By spending time in God’s Word, you will learn about and how… “every good tree bringeth forth good fruit…”

Could tree also mean the bible version
The word tree can be a person…but think about this for a moment… could tree also mean the bible version you are reading? This question is what triggered the writing of this discourse at JCActs221Blog. I kept wondering… could there be good bible versions? And could there be corrupt evil bible versions? Think about this… the Apostle talked a lot about the corrupting of the Word of God, even as he was writing his epistles to the churches he was establishing or building throughout the world. It’s a very important topic in today’s modern 21st Century! It truly is!
Lucifer the Devil
Back to the key verse… Matthew 7:17 (KJV) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. …do you see the word “corrupt” and the word “evil”? Could it be that “corrupt” is actually “evil”…coming from the Devil? Look at the title Devil… “D” “Evil” the word evil is hidden in the title of the deceiver and the father of lies, Lucifer the Devil. Corrupt is not anything either of us should be doing. To do anything corrupt is to be doing evil. Okay?
Cast into the fire
Go on to the following verse in number 19… Matthew 7:19 (KJV) Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Think about what this is saying… because God doesn’t just use any old word that he wants to…no. God uses the exact word for the exact situation. God does everything in accordance to the Word. As in John 1;1-3… John 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Do you see it?
I have verses 17, 18 and 19 underlined and circled in my bible. However, these go in context with verses 15, 16 and then 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27. Yea they do! Look at the whole Scripture and view it with the Holy Spirit!
Be filled with the Holy Ghost
Remember, to never leave the Holy Spirit out of anything you are doing. (If you follow that advice, well maybe, sin will be go from your life, sort of.) Now, this is a huge mistake Christians do everyday! Just because you are born-again and filled with the Holy Ghost does not necessary mean that the Holy Ghost is invited into what you are currently doing. Study the Person of The Holy Spirit and you’ll come to greater understanding of God’s Word and who God is.
Why? Because “Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit”…
