From Your Hearts Forgive
From Your Hearts Forgive – Matthew 18:35 – Jan 9, 2019 Wednesday
Matthew 18:35 (KJV) So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
When I started today off I was in granny low. I had a very long day, 16 hours yesterday with a tough night’s sleep. By the way, if I ever come to your mind, would you mind saying a prayer for me, I sure would appreciate it, sincerely! Thank you.
The last month or so of Jesus’ three year ministry
Matthew 18:35 is the verse that I wrote out and memorized today. Plus along with the other GEC Bible School assignments. This was and still is a difficult verse even as I sit here talking about this verse.
In fact the entire passage I read today, which was, Matthew 18:21 to Matthew 21:7, is filled with enormous stories or rather parables, stories that tell of and about heaven. This section of Scripture is probably in the last month or so of Jesus’ three year ministry. So, the twelve disciples that he’s been teaching for these last three years is coming to a head.
Ears to hear and eyes to see
You can read over these Scripture passages lightly and not see more than what you want to see. Or, like me because of the years and years of reading and studying God’s Word, it takes me forever it seems to read a passage of Scripture! It’s like I just don’t see only the ink on paper with words…
I see the Spirit of the words also… and I also see how they interact with what God is doing on earth in this season. Then on top of that I can add even more, because I just don’t read, I see what I’m reading…. you know, the verse that says, if you have ears to hear and eyes to see, …that verse, I’m not going to look it up. I’ll let you do that, okay?
The Word of God is Jesus Christ
Words are spirit or Spirit! (Not sure if it’s lower case or upper case “s”!) So when you read and study God’s Word you take in his Spirit. Because the Word of God is Jesus Christ our Saviour! So it’s just obvious or reasoning so, that when the Word is taken into your brain, then your spirit also takes in the Word. I’ll let you think on that for awhile!
Matthew 18:35 (KJV) So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Sitting here thinking
Once again, Matthew 18:35… is a summary verse or result of the story that preceded it in verses 23 to 34, then verse 35 is our verse today…. I’m just sitting here thinking, should I include these 12 verses right here…….? I can if I want to, and I don’t have to if I don’t want to….
(Do you hear what the Spirit says? I have freedom to make my own choice, either choice is a good choice. This is a quick example how God gives us freedom to choose… sometimes both choices are good, and sometimes only one choice is the good one and the other one is the bad one, but we still have the individual freedom of will to make our own choice. Satan is not that way. The devil only gives you multiple choices and a state of confusion. God gives us only a choice of two. Heaven or Hell. Life or Death. Jesus or Satan. And there are numerous examples of how God gives us choices. By recognizing the difference between God and Satan, we will make better choices. Anyways, this is a little sidebar teaching, with probably nothing to do with our verse today! God is so funny! Humor is truly a part of his character!)
I’m going to put the verse in here…

Matthew
Matthew 18:23 (KJV) Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
I love God’s Word
There you go…
God’s Word in ALL its Glory! I love God’s Word… and I am so totally happy that I now can just read from one single volume rather than having a stack of different translations and dictionaries and lexicons and concordances and a stack of preacher books telling me how to read God’s Word.
In my world today, I read ONE BOOK! (Now of course, I do read other books, but not when it comes to the study of God’s Holy Bible!
From your hearts forgive not every one
Going to verse 35, look at the words, “…from your hearts forgive not every one…”, this is a big one for probably every person on the face of the earth! I have heard stories of Jewish people forgiving the murders of the concentration camps and forgiving Hitler for his murderous acts towards God’s people, the Jewish race.
I’ve been face to face with these forgivers… you can’t help but cry floods of tears for their persecution and horror that they lived through and watched and heard and witnessed! For me to witness their forgiveness was something I’ll never forget! And that was probably thirty years ago when I was in Ministry Training, Bible School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The power of forgiveness
I could go on, however, I think you have a very good idea of the power of forgiveness and also the consequences of not forgiving.
Please, my dear friend, forgive everyone in your life, no matter what has happened… it doesn’t matter anymore.
Jesus has forgiven you all your trespasses and has given you full freedom from your sin. Therefore, walk in freedom and forgive freely!
Believe in Jesus Christ
You are a child of God!
Believe in your Saviour Jesus Christ and receive the forgiveness of sin.
Be made whole, in Jesus’ name.
Be healed of all sickness.
Be healed of all disease.
Be delivered from all devils.
Be free my beloved…in Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Saviour of us all.
Come Lord Jesus.
My friend
My friend, if you are not sure that you are saved and that you will go to heaven when you pass away, understand this verse, Acts 2:21 “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Also, this verse, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Now, pray with me, “Jesus, if you’re real, here I am.”
Okay?
God bless you my dear friend…
Jesus is there with you…
Stay where you are and thank him for what he’s done…

Touching People For Heaven
Let me ask you a question… if you died tonight, do you have the assurance in your heart, that you would go to heaven? (The answer is either yes or no, that’s it.)
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
—Acts 2:21 (KJV).
This is the most important decision of your life. You receive eternal life by receiving Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord.
