Today, Saturday June 11 2016, is one of those unique days that provide rest to my body. I know that sounds weird, but as a trucker, and one getting of age, rest is so important!
It seems that is takes a full 24 hours after I get home off the road to recuperate from the run. Many have a difficult time relating to my 48 hour schedule.
I literally work for 40 straight hours in just two days! This is driving about 1,400 miles and unloading, reloading, fueling, safety checks and a few breaks to rest. It’s actually amazing that most truckers work the way we do. Regulators who never work 40 hours without stopping think they know our job… however they pass laws that are un-relatable to our industry and work. I realize the lawmakers are trying to help us… but the problem doesn’t lie with the drivers… no… the problem is the companies!
Enough of that ranting of trucking… my point is towards the work of touching people for heaven. How is it possible to do this type of ministry while at the same time working a hundred hour work schedule???
I’m just typing and letting my thoughts roll onto the page here in my blog Journal, this is my ministry blog and it’s geared toward touching people for heaven… more specifically… I am asking people to become Hope Partners with Children’s Hunger Fund… because with this association of mercy ministry… each of us can reach out from wherever we are and touch another person for heaven! CHF does an amazing job of helping each person in need and building a relationship with the person and family to fulfill their needs… specifically their need for salvation through Jesus Christ!
Have you checked out Children’s Hunger Fund? This is the only charity we support and promote!
Giving to CHF as a Hope Partner is in essence touching people for heaven! What they do is a mercy ministry centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus said to lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven… I see that giving to CHF does exactly that… touching people for heaven!
Today is Saturday June 11 2016 and this a very peaceful day in Redding, California. I think because it is a rather cool day, not the hundred degree it has been, their seems to be more relaxing and not so much hiding from the heat. I enjoy living in Redding, been here since 1989… also the year I started with my trucking job!
The thought just came to me to ask you, have you prayed lately?
Praying is one of the most powerful ways to build your relationship with God.
Communicating and showing respect to God will greatly enhance your life. Pray my friend!
Thank you my friend for your time and attention,
-John
