Does the name of Jesus scare you? The word ‘scare’ is the word I chose. Scare means: (verb) To frighten or become frightened. (noun) A fright. A panic. Scare comes from an Old French word meaning: Timid.
Does The Name JESUS Scare You
The word ‘scare’ is the word I chose. Scare means: (verb) To frighten or become frightened. (noun) A fright. A panic. Scare comes from an Old French word meaning: Timid.
Take a close look at this particular scripture in the Bible…King James Version…
“10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Does The Name JESUS Scare You
In my video here I talk about why I think people may be scared of the name of Jesus.
It’s not because they don’t like Jesus.
It’s not because they don’t know Jesus.
It’s not because they want nothing to do with Jesus.
It is not even because they don’t think they are saved!
My take on this topic is people don’t feel like they want to ‘offend’ anyone. Weird, and that is coming from a Christian, born-again, Christian and a minister! I hear it so often, the lack of the spoken name of JESUS. Why? Because the name JESUS is so powerful that by no other name can anyone be saved! Just think about that for a little while…
BibleHub.com
BibleHub.com (Live link to the BibleHub starting at the beginning of the New Testament) This came from the BibleHub.com…a very easy to use website to work from when doing easy research. I highly recommend it for anyone…I tend to favor the King James Bible at this time in my life because of what I perceive as a more accurate translation.
When you read the King James Version, read slowly and deliberately. This translation requires most of us to concentrate while we read. It tends to not be a story book, like many of the modern translations seem to feel like. I’ve read most all of the various translations and at this time, again, I am directed to read, study and research within the King James Authorized Version of the Holy Bible. (Sorry for my long discretion.)
JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH
Please notice that the name of Jesus is part of His full descriptive name…Christ…Nazareth…these two names (titles) provide more clarity to exactly who we are talking about. Isn’t that amazing…people so dislike their Saviors name, that they just say, God.
Bible Time And Reading Of The Scriptures
Use this extra time you have to look up the scripture I used above…’Acts 4:10-12’ also read a little above these verses and a little below where you find them…all these verses will greatly touch you and bless you…
and if not…then possibly a little simple prayer is in order…
“Jesus, if you’re real, here I am.” – Acts 2:21
Joel 2:32 (Old Testament)
“And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the LORD Will be delivered; For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There will be those who escape, As the LORD has said, Even among the survivors whom the LORD calls.
Acts 2:20 (New Testament)
The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
Romans 10:13 (New Testament)
For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
JESUS
My dear friend may the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth be alive and present in your life, now and forever…in His Glorious Name…JESUS! Amen…and now…does the name JESUS scare you?
I love you…
Turn Onto JESUS!
My simple prayer 43 years ago was…
“Jesus, if you’re real, here I am.”
