Moving or Sitting
The question that I pose is this: Are you moving or sitting? Moving means to me that you or I or both of us are in forward motion or even at times in reverse motion. When moving through time there is friction that feels like opposition or could be interrupted as risk. Human beings for some reason are adverse to risk. We simply do not like risk. Why? I think it’s because of fear.
Fear rules in most of our minds. Fear of moving forward stops us from this activity and causes the reverse action, that is to say not moving forward is the same as saying we are moving backwards or rather in reverse. Could this phenomenon explain why it takes the majority of us a lifetime to excel at any one single thing? Possibly, however not positive that this fear is the sole reason for reverse motion. Let’s be moving or sitting to the next word, sitting.
Moving or Sitting
The next word in the article title, Moving or Sitting is “sitting”… now this is one of those strange words that can produce some unusual results. For example, sitting is required to produce results! What? Yes, a sitting Judge rules in favor or against the plaintiff. The Lord is sitting at the right hand of God. The Queen is sitting on her throne. Sitting is the act of governing! How about that?
When I started this article I was looking at the word sitting as a negative, such as not doing anything! I am wrong, as I frequently am, sitting can be a powerful word declaring the authority thereof. In the film you can see that I am sitting… yes, in a powerful and life saving maneuver, I am operating the rig in such a way as to keep it in a sitting mode, i.e., not moving forward! My willingness and obedience to the law of sitting and waiting for the train while it is moving through its right of way authority is as if I am functioning in a responsible and diligent manner. Sitting is not negative! Moving or sitting both have their own connotations of positive behavior.
Moving or Sitting Creates Emotion in Heaven
This verse here was written by Moses in the first five books of the Word of God. Think or ponder just exactly what is being said here, because there is more here that just the word moving or sitting, be careful!
For the Lord your God is moving (moves) about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you.
-Read Deuteronomy 23:14 NIV
Let’s move upward into the New Testament and read what the Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ – their Lord and ours… (1 Co 1:2)…
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
– Read 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 NIV
Moving or Sitting in Revelation
If by now, you are not fully aware of the power of these two words, sitting or moving, depicted simply and mechanically in the film, then possibly these next words from the last book in the Word of God may move you. Let’s look inside the only book unfulfilled and waiting for the right time…
After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in Heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in Heaven with someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian. A rainbow, resembling an emerald, encircled the throne.
-Read Revelation 4:1-3
The Heavens Declare The Glory Of God; The Skies Proclaim The Work Of His hands.
-Read Psalm 19:1 NIV
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The Grace Of The Lord Jesus Be With God’s People. Amen.
-Read Revelation 22:20-21 NIV
Moving or Sitting is Time to Pray
“This is how you should pray…”
‘Our Father in Heaven,
hallowed be Your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done
on earth as it is in Heaven.Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven
our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’-Read Matthew 6:9-13 NIV

Oh wow! I just love creating these “works of art!” Namely the blog articles that are created here at John Choque’s Blog Mission. I strongly believe that owning your own blog platform has the ability for you to reach out and touch people in such a way that is not possible with normal social media networks. Plus, those networks you do not own and are restricted to their own guidelines. Building your own platform does take work, though.

Moving is critical for life. However, sitting is at times also critical for life. Oh, the paradoxes of life! :)
