Offended Because of Christ – Matthew 11:6 – Jan 5, 2019 Saturday
NOW are you offended because of Christ? Does the mention of the Lord’s name offend you? Does telling others about Christ offend you? Are you ashamed of Christ and rather not talk about it? Will you not witness or preach Jesus because it may offend others? Does their offense stop you from letting them know about hell and later about the lake of fire? Is this where you want the people who you know and associate with to spend eternity, because you are offended in Jesus Christ?
My dear friend, brother, sister and stranger I’ve not met yet, please think on the Scriptures that talk about our key verse and topic…offended because of Christ as found in Matthew 11:6.
Lead someone to Christ
There is no greater joy than to lead someone to Christ! This is the greatest miracle in the world! To be a witness of this marvelous miracle of being born again and transformed into a child of God is beyond anything that I can write or say!
Do you know Jesus? If you died tonight, do you have the assurance in your heart that you would go to heaven?
This is an open book pop quiz! The answer to the question is either YES or NO! I’m so sorry that there are no other choices.
Saying to yourself
I know what your thinking or saying to yourself…
“But I’m a rather good person, I help a lot of people at work and around the neighborhood, I’ve even gone to Christmas Mass! Yes, I’m sort of thinking that because I’m a good person, in most ways, I should probably be able to go to heaven, I think…not quit sure…and who knows the answer anyways? Nobody really knows! Plus, there are lots of different ways to get to heaven…”
“I hear lots of people in all kinds of religions around the world all talking about how to have eternal life and live in heaven or a place sort of like heaven. I’ve even heard that if your enlightened enough, we can become a God! So, if I do good and help my fellow man and stay centered and in the light…yes, because of all this…I think I’m going to heaven and have eternal life…”
“…and also because of my friends in India, they’ve taught me more about spiritual life than all you Christians put together! And I also have a friend who follows the prophet Muhammad and he too has told me the way to paradise and to the bosom of Abraham! Yep, I’m sure now, I’m convinced….oh, and I can’t forget the great Tony Robbins…I’ve attended his $10,000 seminars and walked the fire path and succeed according to my higher self! Okay, it’s now it’s settled… I AM ENLIGHTENED! I AM GOD!”

Let them alone
Matthew 11:6 (KJV) And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
Matthew 15:14 (KJV) Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Matthew 18:7 (KJV) Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
Walked no more
Matthew 26:31 (KJV) Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
Luke 4:28 (KJV) And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
John 6:60 (KJV) Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

Made me sick
Listen, that long dialogue I just wrote above almost made me sick to my stomach. I was going to stop writing but then it’s like the Holy Spirit directed me to put in the above Scriptures. Instantly after placing each verse in this discourse, I felt fully alive and not sick to my stomach any more! Isn’t that amazing how just saying these horrible statements that I’ve heard many many many times, that my spirit was in revolt! Incredible at the power of words!
Words are so powerful that they can give you life or they can take your life away. The Word of God is THE most powerful words in all the universe and all the heavens and every place that God is…
Sinful generation
for it is written…
Matthew 24:35 (KJV) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mark 8:38 (KJV) Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Difficult to understand
And this is the grand daddy of them all… and very difficult to understand…
Psalm 138:2 (KJV) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
THE WORD OF GOD is above all thy name! Is the Word of God more than just words? Yes,
Revelation 19:13 (KJV) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
This is JESUS CHRIST, the SON OF GOD!
Blessed is he
So, let’s revisit our text in Matthew 11:6… “And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.”
Dear brother and sister, be in God’s Word everyday… specifically, the Authorized Version, King James Bible. The KJV will give you more faith and increase your belief in Jesus Christ more than any other version that has been published since 1611. (Yes, I know there has been updates, but its not what you think they are or what the haters of the KJV say they are. Okay?)
Thank you Lord for opening the eyes and ears and hearts of your people and the readers of this blog. May the people receive and not be ashamed or offended in you. In your name Jesus! Amen.

This was an odd discourse and one that almost got me sick! Oh, the foolish words of spiritist people. I wish and beg for them to have opened eyes to see. Darkness is all about and hidden are the Words of Life. Help each one to come into your saving grace. Thank you Jesus!
