The Administration of this Service: 2 Corinthians 9:12 (KJV) “For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;…”
2 Corinthians 9:6-15 (KJV)
This service and its administration can be seen inside the key text of 2 Corinthians 9:12. The entire passage or context of this is in 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 (KJV)
2 Corinthians 9:6 (KJV) But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
I was reading and studying and meditating
As soon as I saw all the scriptures, I started to laugh and smile, because I am using this new SwordSearcher bible software, and it is fantastic! Also, I like to mention the cool tool I use from AV1611.com called VerseClick™, it’s what highlights and pops up the verse to the bible text, it’s really amazing to me!
I put the entire passage here that I was reading, studying and meditating on today because I wanted you to see the entire thing all at once. I found that if people can easily see what we’re talking about, it loses a lot of people. That’s why I put the whole thing here in the blog. Oh, by the way, legally we can do this because the letters KJV signify that this text is from the King James Version of the Holy Bible. Plus, I think I read somewhere on the Cambridge University Press website that it is fine to copy 500 or 1,000 verses without any problems. This conflicts with all modern versions, because you are only allowed 250 verses without prior publishers permission, therefore it could be an infringement on copyright law.
When I write my discourses or sermons, I attempt to be sort of like many other preachers, but I just don’t like copying or following after others. I try sometimes, but I want to make my own content in my own spirit led way…of course what I’m saying is what I write is by the Holy Spirit…to the best of my ability to hear clearly and understandably. I sure hope that makes sense?
As a trucker some things take me quite awhile
The other thing I want to say is, I just like to type/write as the words flow out of me. In other words, I’m not going back and forth with the verses and my text to get everything lined up. I suppose I just want each person to read the scripture text and get it and then read my stuff to get another view, sort of. Believe me, I’m really trying to do this correctly. As a trucker, some things take me quite awhile to figure out. But I’ll get it, though.
When we give, it truly doesn’t matter how much we give. I know so many preachers squawk about giving until it hurts…but this verse, number 6, only says if you give a little, then you get a little; if you give a lot, then you get a lot. It’s no big deal…its all about proportions. Mainly, it’s about what you have prayed about and what the Lord has told you to give, and/or, what you have decided to give…then give exactly that…don’t beat around the bush, be exact on your giving. Giving is a critical key component in God’s Kingdom Provisioning. There are times in many of our lives that we had no provision or resources…of any kind! In these cases we needed to completely depend on God’s ability to get our needs met. Giving, therefore is the starting point in our receiving of whatever we are in need of…and I mean even the rent!
God has the amazing ability to know exactly what are needs are and then to deliver on those needs. I use the word ‘need’ because I see that word quite often in the Word of God. I hear some preachers say, it’s not needs, because that is poverty talking…its requirement, or some other goofy abstract intellectual word. It’s needs…okay? When I was strapped and broke, it was I needed…my family needed…so, we prayed for our needs to be met! Of course, when people are well of, they don’t have needs…not like the poor do…they have requirements or wishes or dreams or whatever.

God really hates these complainers
Believe it or not, one of the other important keys is how we give our offerings and tithes or whatever we’re giving. Cheerfulness is that key component in our giving and of course in our receiving. In one way, I could say, don’t complain! Grippers and complainers frustrate everyone involved. God really hates these complainers! When I was trucking one of the biggest things that shipping offices posted on their boards was, NO COMPLAINERS! Boy, I remember that…complaining in the trucking industry is rampant! You wouldn’t think so until you get inside and then you spend a month on the road without going home, and guess what…truckers complain, because their needs are not being met! Very simple!
2 Corinthians 9:12 (KJV) For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
What I mean is inside our brains
I’m not sure what it is, but I really like this verse! I’ve read and re-read it over and over…isn’t it amazing? Read it very slowly and just a couple words at a time. ‘For the…administration of…this service…not only…supplieth the…want of…the saints,…but is…abundant…also by…many…thanksgivings…unto God;’ I realize that each person reading this is not going to split the verse up in this way, but just take a slow look. By being deliberate in reading each word, we can better understand. What I mean is inside our brains are thousands of words that we already know, thus when we look at each word combination, and then stop to ponder, other words inside our brain will come to the surface and mix in with what we are reading and pondering. This is another reason why being an avid reader is so very important to your intelligence. And I don’t mean, comic books!
When you discover it you own it
One of the major elements that I like to teach is “discover.” Rather than “taught.” To discover, to me means you have dug and found it on your own, you now own it, you discovered! On the other hand, taught, to me means someone showed it to you or explained it to you, but you don’t own it, because the other guy owns it…he discovered it and taught it to you. Do you see the difference? It’s “Own” vs “Borrow.” Do you own the house or are you renting the house? Are you gaining equity or losing equity? When you discover it…you own it! So, discover the beauty of God’s Word…own the doctrines you find in Holy Bible. This is where work comes into play. And of course, all to many of us shy away from the work of the Word of God. I don’t…because I have so much enjoyment in discovering nuggets of gold, and silver, and precious stones in the awesomeness of God’s Holy Word! I love the Word!
I’m going to end it here tonight…
Once again, this SwordSearcher Bible Software is truly one unique system of digging into God’s Word and discovering a treasure trove of goodness. I love it… (not a paid endorsement, okay?)
Thank you Jesus for your beauty in my life and thank you for being real and alive in each person’s life who is reading this right now. Touch their heart and soul with whatever their needs might be, all according to your Word and however you can get their needs met. I’m not ordering you Lord, I’m just lifting up each person to you, because I know you love each person, individually. Your love is all encompassing and all abundant. Thank you Lord. In your name I pray…amen!
Good night beloved…remember, The Administration of this Service is an important discourse, not just a blog title! Please consider it along with the other key ideas in the Word. God bless you.
Two services I use to help support the ministry
If you would like to pledge to a brand new missionary type of church, that is being built by creating cell groups, then please use this service to give and support the work. (JC membership link) The idea is to have accountability and transparency regarding finances. Thank you for your faith.
This is a simple and effective service to hold my prayer list of people whom I’m talking with for salvation, ministry and in creating cell groups. (JC commission link) The idea is that after witnessing with a gospel tract, I stay in contact for follow up and prayer with each person.
Respectfully in JESUS,
John Choque.
Touching People For Heaven
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
—Acts 2:21 (KJV).
This is the most important decision of your life. You receive eternal life by receiving Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord. “Jesus, if you’re real, here I am.” —John Choque, 1974.
JOHN CHOQUE. says
Giving is such as strange topic. It’s on my mind because of building a church on social security is not going to make it fully. I give cheerful and I minister respectfully to each person, no matter where they are in life. God loves them…John 3:16 says it correctly. Praise God!
