CHARITY
I think that I would like to start this with some various scriptures that are under the heading of CHARITY in my Thompson Chain-Reference Bible, NIV version. It’s reference number 659 – Charitableness – The duty of.
Proverbs 17:9 He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.
Matthew 7:3 Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
Romans 15:1 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.
Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.
1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
Now these various scriptures in this reference number is not exactly what I am referring to in my film, CHARITY. More over I think that CHARITY is closer to the unselfishness of scattering your giving of all kinds of helps to all divisions of peoples around the world and not counting it as yours, or rather expecting an immediate return for your giving. Even in your neighborhood giving is needed.
CHARITY as in spiritual gifts
1 Corinthians 12:3 – JESUS IS LORD!
In 1 Corinthians Chapter 12, the entire chapter deals with spiritual gifts and then backs these spiritual gifts with the next chapter which covers CHARITY and the main topic of my Blog Mission Article.
1 Corinthians 12:1-6 KJV 1-Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2-Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3-Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say the Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost (Spirit).
4-Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5-And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6-And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
“Wow, don’t you just love the King James Version of the Holy Bible? You have to read it very slowly and deliberately, because of the exactness of each word and phrase. It’s as if each word was specially chosen for that sentence. The King James Version is what I am going through this year, “2015 Bible” (Search-Category). I’m listening to Alexander Scrourby read deliberately and precisely. I am actually enjoying the King James Version, Authorized 1611. I used to hate it and never would even look at it. But for some reason, I have gained a respectfulness for the exactness and clarity of the Word of God.”
The greatest of these is CHARITY
1 Corinthians 13:11-13 KJV 11-When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12-For now we see through a glass, darkly: but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13-And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
“Wow, again I said it, these verses capture the essence of CHARITY that none other can. As you read through this, take some prayer time and talk to God about charity. Listen to what He has to say, and go about your day looking for opportunities to touch people for heaven.”
I realize that quotes seem a bit odd because I am the one writing this Blog Mission Article. I suppose that I just wanted to bring these comments to the surface and make them more important. I write from my heart and not from a script. I record my films from my heart and not from a script. Often times I have a planned presentation, but then the moment I begin, everything changes in my mind and I speak on a completely different topic or composition. I think it’s the Holy Spirit that comes through me. In Jesus name.
Treasures in Heaven from our charity
Matthew 6:20 KJV But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
Matthew 25:40 KJV And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
-Read Matthew 25:34-45
Let’s think more about heaven in today’s world. Why? You’ve heard the statement, “…your so heavenly minded that your no earthly good… ” Well, I don’t agree with that stupid statement! Nope! Because to have your mind on heaven is to think about the Lord and how you can give CHARITY to all the people around you.
Just look!
People are everywhere…
Respectfully in Jesus,
Missionary
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not CHARITY, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not CHARITY, I am nothing.
-Read 1 Corinthians 13:2-3 KJV
