As I was praying this morning with the Lord and along with my morning coffee, this is what I kept saying and hearing…if ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land…this is Isaiah 1:19.
Ye Be Willing And Obedient – Isaiah 1:19 KJV – 12/20/18 Thu
Isaiah 1:19 (KJV) If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
I talk to God everyday and more specifically in the morning about the ministry and what the Lord has me doing now and today. Many times I reflect on key scriptures for each particular day. For some reason, each day appears to have its own verses! I realize this not the norm for every Christian, but it is for me, and has been for numerous years.
Often times I begin to talk about a scripture to the Lord and I haven’t referenced a particular passage, because I have studied God’s Word for such a long time, that a lot of it is in my memory. What I’m talking about is laying up the Word of God in your mind, its not exactly memorizing, because that doesn’t really work for me. What does work is connecting a passage to what is going on in my life at the time.
I have had good times and bad times
Over the years, I have had good times and bad times, and during these different times I’ve always have been given a passage of scripture that totally relates to what’s going on. But because I don’t memorize the traditional way, I normally don’t have a book and chapter to go with the passage. I hope you know what I mean here. Memorizing is very good and I work at it all the time. The emotions of the day make perfect soil to plant the seed of the Word…taking root then is better because I seem to have more faith in those times of emotion and verses being connected.
Another thing I do, and I think always, is I need a verse to go with whatever it is that I’m doing. I don’t receive words without scripture. Everything we do has a verse! It does….you just got to pray and look! It’s there…if it’s not…then, probably best to not take that word or suggestion or ever direction. Okay?
The Word of God has included every thing anyone needs while one earth. I’m not sure about how the Word works in heaven. It might very similar…because, well that’s where the Word lives! …laughing!
This is all for creating cell groups
During prayer I was talking about the work of preaching using gospel tracts. I just received 10,000 tracts, custom made with my info on the back, and this is all for creating cell groups that will form the church that God has called me to build.
You know, as soon as I typed that, I could hear in my imagination, how people just can’t believe the idea that God can actually call anyone to build a church (assembly of God’s people, a family) and even believe that God actually talks to his children! What can I say, facts are facts, I have faith…not doubt. God is alive and not dead. Born-again people; believer’s in the Lord Jesus Christ, are adopted into the family of God and are sealed by the Holy Ghost along with our names being written in the lambs book of life. It’s just the way it is, as it is written in God’s Word. I don’t feel like telling your were the verses are right now, because you really should go discover God’s precious Word on your own.
When you discover it, then you will own it….much better than borrowing it from me. I know, I just don’t talk right…I’m a long-time trucker who’s lived on the road for the better part of four decades. It’s like I really don’t care how you feel about the Truth…it’s just the Truth, so help me God!
Isaiah 1:19
Let’s get back to Isaiah 1:19, If ye be willing and obedient… Just stop for a moment here and consider what God is saying in these few words………………
When I talk to God about this verse, I usually say something like…
“Holy Spirit please help me to be willing and help me to be obedient, because I want to be willing and obedient, thank you Holy Spirit, I love you!”
Add yourself to my daily prayer
This is my usual way of praying
I also will pray in tongues at this time, which is my usual way of praying, because my spirit doesn’t always know the right words to say, but by using the gift of tongues, all the correct words can be said in prayer. The cool thing about this is that our enemy can’t hear what we’re saying, or doesn’t understand the interpretation. It’s sort of like having our prayer encrypted! How cool is that!!!
Just believe it and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and be filled to overflowing with goodness and mercy and grace, allow your spirit to be baptized in the Holy Ghost and begin praying in the Spirit, by faith…simply begin….put voice to your spirit and hear the majestic and inspiring words of the Spirit as the Holy Spirit moves! You don’t need to know what you are saying, when you pray in the Spirit, it’s not the Devil praying…(I’m laughing here, cause I hear people say that!)…that’s what some dumb people teach!
No, it is a gift given to all, and hear me…this has nothing to do with your salvation…salvation is a free gift by believing in Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord. Holy Spirit baptism is the next step into more of what God has for you. Plus, water baptism is important, and taking communion, and assembling together with the rest of God’s family as a church! You see, just getting saved is not the end…it’s the beginning! Amen!
The Holy Spirit is one of the Godhead
Do you realize that the Holy Spirit is one of the Godhead that is on earth working right now? When Jesus was taken up into heaven, he said to wait for the Gift of God, the Comforter…this is the Holy Ghost. (The word usage in the King James Bible is more accurate than you may realize. In fact, it’s perfect! However, this is a topic for another time.)
Now, I think I want to put the verses around our key text right here…
Isaiah 1:16 (KJV) Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Keep stretching my faith by speaking the Word of God
I think this gives more context and a little better understanding. Of course there are several other related verses to back up this text. Spend a few minutes reading and looking over these verses 16-19 that I posted above.
So anyways, I continually keep stretching my faith by speaking the Word of God and today was, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” And for me land is Boulder, Colorado! Gospel Evangelist Church is coming to Boulder and to Colorado and into all the world…as the Spirit leads. Amen!
Mark 16:15 (KJV) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Thank you Lord for all your goodness in all the people reading this message or discourse. Thank you for touching each person for heaven. Thank you for being such a wonderful God! I love you and am excited to be apart of all that you are doing in this world for your kingdom! Come Lord Jesus! Amen.
In your name Jesus….
Please note that I’m still enjoying working with the SwordSearcher Bible Software and highly recommend its worthiness (Not a paid endorsement), it’s just very good! I also am using VerseClick™ to automatically connect the verses here in my blog to an online Authorized King James Bible hosted on AV1611 website, which is a part of the SwordSearcher. Together, these are fantastic tools!
Two services I use to help support the ministry
If you would like to pledge to a brand new missionary type of church, that is being built by creating cell groups, then please use this service to give and support the work. (JC membership link) The idea is to have accountability and transparency regarding finances. Thank you for your faith.
This is a simple and effective service to hold my prayer list of people whom I’m talking with for salvation, ministry and in creating cell groups. (JC commission link) The idea is that after witnessing with a gospel tract, I stay in contact for follow up and daily prayer. God bless you.
Respectfully in JESUS,
John Choque.

Just wanted to say that, I have been asking God to help me be willing and obedient for as long as I can remember. It’s not an instant, oh, I’m willing and obedient, presto! Maybe for others, not for me. I work at God’s Word. Nothing is easy. “Easy Come…Easy Go”
