I do my school homework every day. In the school work is a section that says to write a verse that stands out to the student. Then write that verse for ten minutes in your journal or notebook or logbook. This goes along with the other daily assignments that are required to be completed each day.
However, when it comes to this section that has us writing a verse over and over and over again for at least ten minutes, something peculiar happens to me every time! It’s like a fire is started under my behind! In other words, I get extremely excited from inside out. It’s as if, my spirit wants to fly! I know this sounds weird!
The Holy Ghost teaches the Word of God
There is no way that I’m ever ashamed or offended in Jesus or the gospel of the kingdom of heaven that I preach with tracts. I love Jesus and I love all his words! Therefore I am extremely open to the Holy Ghost as he teaches the Word of God! I simply receive as a little child…even though I’m sixty-five and have been with the Lord for over forty-five years!
I’m still deeply in love with my Jesus! I so hope that you too are in love and falling more in love everyday with your Saviour Jesus Christ. But to successfully achieve a tremendous relationship takes lots of time. That is why I advocate spending at least forty minutes a day in private fellowship with God. This is also how GEC Bible School is set up. By the time every student successfully graduates our school they should be filled with this amazing love of Christ and love of the Father and love of the Spirit! Yes, it’s an exciting time to be alive in Jesus Christ!
I write these discourses
It sure seems like I get to rambling a lot, apologize if this disturbs you…I’m only writing as the words flow out of my spirit. As I write, I’m looking directly at Scripture because I write these discourses on the SwordSearcher Bible Software! I’ve tried writing on many different software packages, but for some reason this is different! God bless Brandon Staggs, the creator of SwordSearcher.
(Now, of course Brandon knows it was the Holy Ghost who did the creating, he was just going along with the Spirit!) As it is written, if you have eyes to see, and ears to hear… (Matthew 11:15 (KJV) He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.) (Proverbs 8:12 (KJV) I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.) (2 Chronicles 26:15 (KJV) And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.) …great creations can be created!
Every kingdom
Okay now lets get back to Matthew 12:25! I think what I’m going to do is piece out the verse in a bullet point outline with some of my thoughts on each part. Here we go:

Jesus knew
1. And Jesus knew their thoughts, “How is it that Jesus knew their thoughts and did not hear them speak? Is Jesus able to know our thoughts? What are we thinking now…is it goodness or evil? We should always have a clean righteous thought life. Several times throughout the word we are told about how to think. Thinking right is very important in building our relationship with God.”
2. and said unto them, “Jesus is speaking here, however Jesus is still speaking to his family. Jesus is saying words that edify, exhort and comfort us. Also Jesus speaks words for our own good…as you probably know, God is a Father of correction! God is not slack in dealing with his children.”

Against itself
3. Every kingdom divided against itself “This is an exact statement…the word ‘every’ is predominant and bold in character. Every kingdom…the moment I read this part I thought of the United States! This country is most definitely divided and has been divided for decades. The USA is in a dangerous position. I’m not savvy on other countries. The country that you live in you would know it’s state of well being based upon this verse. But the verse says, ‘against itself’, this is not sounding very good! It’s like, or maybe sounds similar, to the disease of cancer. Think about it!”
4. is brought to desolation; “This too is an absolute statement of fact. No doubt about it, this will be brought (maybe even kicking and screaming) to desolation (utter destruction and totally without anything left for life!) Wow! This verse is a scary eye opener, please have eyes to see… of course then be obedient to act properly.”
Every city
5. and every city “Now Jesus is not just referring to kingdoms, but also cities! What city do you live in? Is it fore or against this verse in God’s Word? I mean really, God is not messing around. Just look at the word ‘every’ that is something to stop look and listen (RxR) railroad crossings and stop signs and whenever prompted.”
6. or house “God is including the family…not just a building structure called a house. House also means generations, like the House of David. House refers to descendants. Are your children obeying God? Are you obeying God?”
Divided
7. divided against itself “Again, division divides…in no way does division add or multiply. When you divide something against itself does this equal zero? I’m not sure…it still seems more like something that eats itself up until death or nothing is left. Sort of like, maggots. They appear from no where and they eat the dead and until there is nothing but bones, Then like they appeared, the maggots are gone. Where did they go? You know something that may be involved here is ‘pride’…as it is written, pride goeth before destruction… (Proverbs 16:18 (KJV) Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.) You know, maybe pride is involved here.”
8. shall not stand: “Whoa, now is that a direct statement! Shall not stand! Which means it will fall! And I’ve read in some places, and great is that fall or great is that darkness! This is one big verse and more than I realized. But I spent ten minutes writing it over and over and then went for my afternoon walk.
God’s protection
About fifteen minutes later, a car drove straight for me, dead center at the grill and by God’s protection just stopped inches from running me over completely! This was at Walnut Street and 28th Street intercession, I was walking to Trader Joes’s, which is at the corner. I was walking in the cross walk, eastward, with my white light for crossing and even had my new cane! Because of my left leg being smashed and me learning to walk again, I wasn’t able to jump out of the way of the car. It was either the car had to stop, or it would run me over. Because of my protection (Psalm 91) which I was meditating on just before my walk.
Wow! Could it be that God knew my future and was preparing me for action at just the right time? I don’t know.
I do know that, I am not divided and therefore I will not be brought to desolation but will stand! In Jesus’ name!
Angels
Psalm 91:11 (KJV) For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
